1. What do we do with ICE after 4 years of Trump turning them into a paramilitary brownshirt force?
There’s no reason for ICE’s budget to be many times the size of the FBI’s budget except that Trump wants his own fascist, private military force. So will we have to abolish the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, and fire three and a half years from now all the agents the Trump Administration has trained to occupy US cities and essentially commit state-sponsored terrorism against American society?
Will the ICE agents go home disgruntled, angry, and feeling sorry for themselves because everyone hates them for ruining so many lives of the undocumented and citizens alike, tearing apart families, and abducting people from the street? Will they become bigger Gestapo wannabes to get back at everyone calling them that? Will they join militias like the Proud Boy, Oath Keepers, and 3%ers? Do we try to take away their guns?
It’ll be a conundrum like de-baathification was in Iraq. How should Democrats wind down a rogue, militant agency with an unnecessarily massive budget and years of experience in inflicting fascist cruelty on America?
2. ICE’s sudden militarization is turning the agency into Trump’s private Schutzstaffel.
ICE’s budget is nearing the budget of the Marines, and I can imagine ICE’s budget will keep increasing as long as Trump is in office. It’s also nestled safely in the executive branch under the Trump Administration’s control, unencumbered by the laws, rules, and norms that curtail the military’s ability to occupy American cities, arrest citizens, and shoot protesters like Trump has so often publicly talked about wanting to see.
I’m not holding my breath that coward Republicans in Congress will do anything to check and balance Trump’s SS, even if Trump starts arresting them and sending them to Alligator Auschwitz.
Hey, “Don’t tread on me” and Second Amendment people: this is EXACTLY the kind of federalized governmental tyranny that you have all constantly waxed militaristically about for a couple centuries!
Let me remind you that fascist movements are always harshest and most ruthless against their own acolytes while demanding and enforcing blind obedience. When zealous devotion to the demagogue and rabid back-stabbing with no empathy is what gets brownshirts ahead in a hierarchy of sociopathy, no one, no matter how obsequiously brown their noses get will ever be safe from Alligator Auschwitz.
3. Can the Nobel Prize Committee start bribing Trump toward good behavior by dangling the Peace Prize in front of him?
Tell him he’ll finally get one if he stops stops building concentration camps. Tell him he’ll get two if he doesn’t occupy any US cities with ICE for the rest of his term. Give him a deluxe version better than Obama got if he floods assistance to Ukraine so they stop Russian aggression and save Europe from the obvious future Baltic invasions that would follow a Ukrainian collapse. Give him the Nobel Prize for Medicine if he gets Israel to stop genociding the Palestinians — Obama never got that one! Just dangle the prizes like carrots on a stick for the next three years!
4. This Epstein list cover-up has gotten conservatives and MAGA fans into quite a pickle!
They want to defend and exonerate Trump with pavlovian devotion to his fascist demagoguery, but they also haven’t shut the fuck up for years constantly accusing Democrats of being pedophiles and screaming about Christian values and personal conduct.
They want to believe Trump is innocent, but the Trump Administration just keeps making too sketchy excuses! The cover-up really is a cherry on top of all the photo, video, and allegational evidence that Trump and Epstein were buddies for years, and all but legally adjudicatedly did Diddy-style freak-offs of their own.
After 6 months of paradoxical messaging from Kash Patel, Pam Bondi, Karoline Leavitt, and Trump, where there’s nonstop smoke there just might be a fire!
5. Trump recently compared his bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities, which did debatable damage to the nuclear program, to Truman’s dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
I wonder about the moron opportunist who told him this, likely on the golf course right before pulling out his phone and showing Trump how much of Trump’s crypto coin he had bought. I don’t think it’s possible at all Trump spent a moment reflecting, on his own, the ethical ramifications of presidents’ nuclear responsibilities. He definitely doesn’t know anything about the Truman Administration.
Imagine a reporter asking him what he thought about Truman, and what kind of I-didn’t-read-the-book meandering he’d say like a 5th grader bullshitting his book report.
And it’s such absurd self-aggrandizement for Trump to bring it up. He basically popped off a few bombing raids while he was ostensibly trying to craft a peace deal with Iranians because Israel was impressing national security pundits with how quickly they dismantled Iran’s air defenses. Trump just wanted in on some of the action, and then lied saying he “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear program.
Right away officials had to backtrack that assessment because the extent of damage is not confirmed, and the stockpiled uranium was moved because Trump threatened he might bomb the sites just a few days prior. It’s the perfect example of a Trump lie because it’s a hyperbolic boast that will inevitably backfire on him if Iran just starts enriching more uranium immediately, which means Trump inevitably will have to tell more lies about Iran because he’ll never admit he was wrong when he proclaimed their nuclear program was “obliterated.”
To compare the impulsive Iran bombing to the decision Truman made to drop the first (and only) nuclear bombs in an active world war that prevented somewhere between 500,000 and a million US casualties that would come from invading mainland Japan is just classic Trumpian delusional narcissism.
6. Historians will likely forever agree Trump is America’s dumbest president.
Donald Trump is not smart, and is not intellectually curious. The guy is addicted to hearing his name on TV. When he got into a Tesla, his reaction was, “Everything is computer.” He doesn’t do any of his homework so he embarrasses the US when he asks the leader of an English-speaking nation how his English got so good. He doesn’t send emails. In 2025 he doesn’t use email! He thinks people don’t think to themselves how weird his bright orange clown face is when he answers reporters’ questions about why he’s arbitrarily declaring giant tariffs against allied countries to distract from his administration’s bungling of the Epstein files cover-up. He doesn’t like keeping records or paper trails, and his business is largely conducted verbally like a Neanderthal mob boss. Having no paper trails is literally illegal in our government—though he gets away with it because it’s nowhere near the most corrupt thing he does on a daily basis—and not writing things down or reading them is indicative of an unprofessional, incompetent, and moronic leadership capability. He is not a bright guy. 🥃
