Washington D.C.—
President Donald Trump has long prided himself on having “one of the great memories of all time,” but not Mr. Trump is forgetting he ever said that.
While news of his RussiaGate scandal explodes with indictments of Trump campaign staffers and even early administration staffers, Trump is suddenly suffering memory problems related to a cornucopia of meetings, phone calls, and conversations regarding his election and presidency.
“I don’t remember saying I had the best memory,” Trump said in brief comments to reporters while traveling on his trip to Asia. “So I probably never said that, because I do have a great memory. One of the best. It’s been widely reported that everyone who knows me thinks I have the best memory they have ever seen. Ever heard of. But no, I don’t believe I ever said I have a great memory. The hackers have gotten really good at making fake videos of me saying things, and then CNN is so fake and dumb that they air obviously fake videos of me. I never said it. And as far as Russia goes, I’ve never heard of any Russians ever involved with anything I’ve ever done. This Jared Kushner fellow, I barely know him. I think he was an errand boy. Manafort? Never heard of him. Flynn? This person does not exist. I never hired him or worked with him. The fake news completely fabricated his entire existence. I’d remember a guy named Flynn.”
Okay, Mr. President.
